Texas law restricts access to birth records under 75 years old. Only qualified applicants as defined under Texas Government Code Section 552.115 can receive them. Qualified applicants include the person on the record, their parents, siblings, spouse, children, grandparents, legal guardian, and legal representatives with proper documentation.
